RE: Dell xps 8700 does not go to sleep

Hi ,

We can suggest you to uninstall the graphics card drivers restart the system and install the drivers from the graphics card manufacturer's website and check if that works.

Kindly check if that helps .

Thanks

RE: Dell xps 8700 does not go to sleep

Hi,

It is unfortunate that non of these steps have not worked as usually for such issue a BIOS update after which and update on the video drivers will fix the issue, however we would apologize for the inconvenience .

As a last option you can try the following

CTRL + X >>>> Power Options >>>> Choose what power buttons do >>>> At the bottom is Shutdown settings

Run Command prompt as Admin (Win + X.. Command Prompt (Admin)), say Yes. Type powercfg -h on. The reverse is logically powercfg -h off.

go to Windows 10 key + X –> Power options –> Change plan settings –> Change advanced power settings –> Scroll down to “Power buttons and lid” –> Sleep button action –> Change settings to Hibernate.

Kindly do get back to us if there are any issues.

Thanks

Robin
