Display Driver for XPS15z - Windows 10 Pro 64

I have been using an external Samsung 24" high resolution monitor when I'm using the XPS15z at home (at my desk) with no issues.

Today I decided to go for the Windows 10 Pro upgrade. It took a few attempts (like demanding I uninstall the Cyprus driver, and a couple other glitches related to Avast and other security software).

After completion of Windows 10 installation, I could not use the external monitor (Windows 10 says I do not have a driver to support a 2nd monitor, and no monitor was detected).

Another bigger issue is the resolution. My Windows 7 settings have always been 1920x1200.

Now I can't go above 1020. This is really annoying.

My laptop also has an NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M, 2GB video card, which has far more than this miserable 1020 resolution.

I hope Dell will assist in getting these drivers updated soon.

Thanks.

Cool Mann,

Unfortunately, there are no plans to create any Windows 10 drivers for this computer.

Sometimes Windows 8.1 drivers work on Windows 10

You should try installing this drivers, but Intel dropped Win10  support for Sandy Bridge GPUs

Thanks for the warning, Jesse.

I will make sure that my friends, and my family members (and myself of course) will never buy another Dell product.

Not a Dell problem.  This computer was introduced in early 2011.  Intel and other makers of the chips in your computer didn't bother with making the drivers.  You will find that issue with many other OEM companies as they only build the units, not make the drivers/chips that run everything inside your computer.

@beamermt79,

Obviously you have no clue how OEM's like Dell run their business with regard to their hardware providers.

As for the XP15Z, Dell was still selling it in 2014, that's when I bought mine.

Its how most OEM's work these days.  Dell doesn't make the motherboards, the chipsets, etc.  They design stuff and work with other OEM's to get a product out.  Regardless, have a nice day.
