When setting up my new XPS 8930, installation of Microsoft patches ran into some issues, so I decided return to the factory image to try again. Found the Dell OS Recovery Tool at https://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/sln299044/how-to-download-and-use-the-dell-os-recovery... but the instructions are incorrect. I ended up reinstalling Windows and it is not the same as the factory install. Not sure what all is different, but would like to get back to the factory install. How do I do that?
Dell does not have downloadable factory install images.
Optiplex 7060 has Intel® Q370 Chipset similar to the 8930 Intel® Z370 chipset Both are 8th gen Core and both support CPU-attached PCIe storage.
You download the cab file and save to my documents.
then unzip contents using 7zip.
then update any yellow ! in device manager saying download from my machine instead of from the internet.
Unfortunately the 8930 is not like the optiplex line where they have reinstall cab files for all drivers.
