Inspiron 530, Windows 10, issues

Have Dell Inspiron 530, upgraded to the g33m03 board with 8 gigs of ram 530w power supply and 1.0.15 Bios. Runs great on Win7 64 but, when trying to load Win 10, says you is a problem. I believe it should work but, if this gpu is not comparable, is there one that is? Thanks.

What GPU does it have?

Is it on-board or discrete?

Don't know if card is the big part of the problem. I get the CPU doesn't meet requirements. I believe it should work. Made sure NX is on, etc. Must be doing something wrong. Won't even load.

Yeah, AMD is lame and depreciated a bunch of similar-vintage cards for use in Windows-10.

But this card should still work. Windows-Update should toss you a working driver. Seen it many times now:

and

These cards have all been previously installed, drivers loaded, and tested as working in Windows-10/64bit:
Nvidia: 7300-GT, 9600-GTS
ATI/AMD: HD-5770, HD-7750

They added MORE REQUIREMENTS for 10 than 8.

This means you have to use 32 bit windows 10 or upgrade the processor.

NX is for windows 8.

LAHF SAHF  CMPXCHG 128 are added for  8.1 or 10 if its 64 bit.

Oh, you originally said GPU.

Can't say I've ever tried an a CPU that old. Some of these users say it works:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install-winpc/intel-q9650-cpu-and-windows-10/840b8e66-445f-4316-8166-a17bde7c3a5e?auth=1

If not, it's likely a BIOS and/or motherboard compatibility problem. Anyway, isn't that machine 10 years old? Sounds like it is time to replace it (if you must run Windows-10/64bit on it).

Would you think 32 bit would work?

I've also seen that it may be possible to, if you can get it to load and update that, after installing 32 bit with all updates, 64 may work.

Anyone get tired of being told they need to replace their 7 or 10 or 15 year old $1000 computer?  I run the 530s, the windows 64vista (this format i’m happy with) no longer supported along with 7 & 8, has 4gb @ 2.2ghz.  Does anyone know by now (2021) if win10 can be loaded?

or will win10 no longer be supported when win 11 arrives?
