Keyboard Backlight BIOS Missing

I recently had a system reboot and I had since tried to install every driver, bios, and registry I can to fully optimize my laptop. But when I tried to turn off my keyboard backlight, I didn't work. I naturally searched all over and tried all of the shortcuts but nothing worked. I saw that I could alter it in the BIOS but when I checked the System Configuration, it wasn't there. I wanted to ask if there was an update I forgot or if there was another way to do so.
