ROBERTOPOQUINI:

If you have an mSATA drive for acceleration you'll need to install Intel Rapid Storage Technology and enable it. If that's not the problem and you're using that terrible 500GB drive Dell supplied as a system drive go pick up an mSATA SSD.

Even if the Dell version of the Intel HD graphics driver had working brightness control, you would need Windows 10 Pro to stop Windows from replacing it. At the moment, Windows 10 Home won't let you hide the update, even with the Hide Update Tool. I've gone back to 8.1, and I don't think Dell will ever fully support this laptop on Windows 10.

Hi,

I also upgraded my L502X laptop to windows 10 from windows 7. I have no such issues but one issue comes sometime which freeze my laptop completely. And that time i only had the option to swith off my laptop from power button.

When Win 10 came out, my laptop was 4 years old. Now, it is 12 years old and I am currently running Windows 11 on it without any driver issue whatsoever!

No, there was no driver issue in Windows 10. All the drivers provided for Windows 8.1 worked nicely. Rest was taken care of by Windows update.

Even Windows 11 install was pretty smooth, and all the updates are coming nicely.
