Backup & Recovery

Hi all,

I want to take a backup of my new DELL laptop. I have to options to go for, one is to tack a backup in DVD drive and the other one is in USB flash drive.

Just want to know which one will be the better choice to go for?

But I came to know that there is problem of taking backup in DVD drive. Is this problem is still there?

Can any one please advice me on this?

Regards,

Personally I would go for the DVD as a USB device can get corrupt or formatted. If you have another computer with a DVD drive you can use a program like ImgBurn to copy the DVD to a .iso and then you can convert that .iso to a bootable USB using Rufus.

This should effectively give you both media.

In addition to Philip Yip's post, you can use Dell Datasafe Local Backup or Windows Backup and Restore to take a backup of your choice to a storage medium of your choice.
