DigitalPersona Fingerprint Software for Windows 8

After upgrading to Windows 8, this software (I have the latest version 5.30) no longer works.

I can no longer use fingerprint to log on to Windows. It is not showing in the log on screen.

Tried updating via the software but this is the latest version they have.

Does anyone has any fix, patch or update to make it work?

I updated the Digital Persona to 6.2 in Windows 7 and the Windows 8 upgrade assistant still shows that this software won't work in Windows 8. If I upgrade to Windows 8 and install again the update posted by natakuc4, it will work fine?

If anyone succeded to download one for Win 8 please share the file.

I have DPPF 5.20.230a running in Windows 8 x64, when I try to install the upgrade to 6.2 using the links provided I get an error that says "Dell Personal not installed. This package can only be installed as an upgrade." and then it forces me to exit the install. I have DPPF installed so what is it talking about?

I have Dell Studio 1737. Windows 8 Pro x64.

I have the Authen Tec Inc. AES2810 listed in Device Manager for Biometric Devices. Check yours ...

I had the same problem with DPPF, so uninstalled DPPF completely, rebooted and installed TrueSuite Starter from:

store.authentec.com/.../ufma.aspx

Launched program, registered fingers, rebooted again. Swiped registered finger at login screen and it worked.

 Hope this helps.

I have DigitalPersona Personal 5.2 and I installed it but when I put your update, it told me that I need Dell Personal, so what do I do.

I have a Vostro 3750 on Windows 8 Pro, I installed the original version of DigitalPersona Personal 5.2.   When I put the update, it didn't work, it doesn't let me go log on Windows with my finger so what do I do.

I have the same problem as campbellre and gvchana: I do have DigitalPersona Personal 5.2 installed (and running, inside Windows, just not working for log-in) but when I use the update file natakuc4 links to, it says "Dell Personal is not installed. This package can only be installed as an upgrade."

My Vostro 3550 does not show up as an Authentec device, but rather is seen as a "Validity Sensor" under the Biometric devices tree in Device Manger.
