Factory Recovery Media, why so small?
I've got a new XPS 15" laptop running Windows 8.1.
I went through the process of creating the factory recovery media (FRM) which I wrote to an external USB drive.
The program warned me that the media may require 7gig. No problem. I went through the process and at the end I was offered the option of deleting various install files and stuff that were no longer needed to free up a bit of space. I opted to do that.
Now, I checked my recovery media and it's actually only about 7meg.
Did something go wrong? Is it possible that the FRM could only be 7meg and the 7gig I was warned of is just some kind of worst case scenario? Can my recovery media be tested without actually doing a factory reset which potentially will not work?

Something is wrong, try making it again.

Exactly the same results. Any ideas?

Does your disk management look similar to mine here?
