New Dell XPS27 Cannot install updates!

New Dell XPS27 with Windows 8. My first one repeatedly could not update windows updates or install anything. Anytime after a restart it would say updates failed, reverting back and then sit for hours. I had to totally reboot the system. CAlled, and they said it was hardware. So I received a replacement. Same thing! What's going on?
