Another Microsoft .NET Framework query
I have just bought a new Dell Inspiron 580 pc which is running Windows 7. The following error message appears shortly after startup. Apparently Microsoft.NET Framework is pre-installed on my computer. How do I get rid of this message please, and why would I want .NET Framework anyway?
I would be grateful for any help. Thank you.
Peter

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box. "

Try disabling Dell Datasafe Online on Windows startup, (do not delete the startup entry)
Click Start > Run > type in msconfig then press Enter
Click on Startup tab & uncheck Dell Datasafe Online then click OK & reboot computer
If the problem startup message has been removed then culprit is Dell Datasafe Online

Hi again Peter
Good to hear you found the culprit :emotion-21::emotion-5:
Albeit a common fix to identify suspect problem causing Windows startup programs, long term, its not good practice to leave it/them permanently startup disabled
I have seen lots of Dell Datasafe Online problems being reported in these Forums, but can’t comment further since I don’t have nor ever used it?
It’s recommended that if you want & need a particular problem causing program then need to investigate fix/repair or try an updated version (if available)?
Alternatively if not wanted/used – then remove the program using Add/Remove
There's a “sticky” post by Dell Jesse L in Productivity Software Forum, click here but refers to issues after upgrading to Windows 7??

I hate to ask this, but why did dell compile a production application with debugging enabled?
