BIOS for Studio 540

Hello,

I am soon going to upgrade my OS from Vista 64 bit to Windows 7 64 bit. I am unsure as to whether I need to upgrade the BIOS as well. There is a new one out there for my PC but it does not state whether it's for 32 or 64 bit. I downloaded it and clicked to execute and get an error msg saying something to the effect that it is not compatible with the version of Windows I currently run (specifically speaks to X32 vs. X64).

Do I need a new BIOS for W7? If so, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks,  Bob

Glad to hear it. There appears to have been 2 files one for Windows and one for no OS. The other file was the default for some strange reason.

For best results with your Windows 7 installation, have a look at my wiki (link in my signature below) A Clean Install of Windows.
