Clean install Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit on Dell Inspiron 15 (7537, Mid 2013) - Error
Have tried multiple times using both MBR and UFEI usb formatted keys with ISO from MSDN - SW_DVD9_Win_Pro_8.1_64BIT_English_-2_MLF_X19-49879
Followed Philip Yip guides to no avail - updated BIOS.
I am an IT professional and yet this is evading me. I haven't tried another OS install (Win 7) because I want to use Win 8.1
After install, goes to WIn 8.1 Recovery screen and says your PC needs to be repaired. The error isn't consistent - the one I'm seeing now says Error Code: 0xc0000815. I've also gotten errors referencing ntoskrnl.exe.
Have tried different USB keys - only tried the one ISO but have used with many other machines.
Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the hard drive may be failing and files are getting lost on it hence the random assortment of error messages and failures to boot. Run the full F12 preboot diagnostics:
