Commands to re-install OS
Hi
The OS of my 1525 has died. I have tried re-starting and re-installing from the DVD, but no luck.
Can anyone please let me know how to re-install the OS using DOS commands.
Or - is there any other way to fix this?
I have tried everything - but nothing works.
I have never had a PC where I couldn't re-install from the DVD, but the OS is not working correctly and only works in Safe Mode.

Hello
I solved this by changing the boot sequence.
That must have been a powerful virus..

Too late now, but why didn't you just use Dell's PC Restore utility to wipe the hard drive and reset it to exactly they shipped it. without having to use the optical disk?
