Dell Support Center Software Download V2.0

I recently downloaded V2.0 of Dell Support Center software. During the next time the pc was started (bootup) the folder named "Dell" was shown full screen and would not disappear until it was removed manually with the "X". Since then it always is on screen during startup, and it is very annoying to have to manually remove it each time. This folder is located at: C:\Program Files\Dell. It containes the following folders: Media Experience, NicConfigSvc, Notebook System Software, QuickSet, and SystemProfiler.

With V1.0 of the Support Center this problem never occurred.

When will Dell issue an update to correct this malfunction?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Hi

1. Click the Start button, and then type 'msconfig' without the quotes in the
Run bar and press enter
2. The System Configuration Utility window will appear.
3. Click the Startup Tab and locate the entries for for Dell Support or
dsca.exe, remove the check marks from them.
4. Click Apply at the bottom of the window. If you receive an error about
Administrator Privileges, just ignore it as the changes will be made anyway.
5. Restart the Computer.
6. The windows for the System Configuration Utility may appear again. Select No
in the box asking to show the configuration window at startup, and then click
Ok."

I executed your instructions. Worked like a charm. I didn't put 2&2 together re "dsca". Thanks very much!
