Does Win 7 install on XP remove Dells PC Restore Partition?
I want to install WIN7 and if I don't get along with it, will WIN 7 delete the Dell PC Restore partition or will I still be able to restore the Dell 530 to factory settings in XP?
Has anyone tried it?

the parition itself will be there but of no use I.E. you cant do a PC restore back to XP as the boot records will change :)

I suggest you make a backup copy of Dells custom Master Boot Record used for XP, then if need be after upgrading to W7 and you want to revert back, restore the saved MBR, reboot and use ctrl +F11 to restore the PC to XP.
