Drive 1 not found:Serial ATA,SATA-1

When I boot up, it's show that Drive 1 not found:Serial ATA,SATA-1,Alert ! Failed to detect one or more drives during POST. the system show that strike F1 to continue or press F5 to run onboard diagnostic.

after I hit F1, it's show No boot device availabe,then hit F5,it's occurred a warning: No hard drive been deteted.

Hi karen_ch,

Welcome to the community

It seems like the hard drive is not getting detected by the system.

Please check if the connections to the hard drive are intact. Also, in the BIOS see if the hard drive is Enabled/On.

Restart the system and press f2 key to boot to the BIOS.

Please let me know the system model number and the OS installed. This way I will be able to paste the exact steps to check the options in the BIOS and show you the link for reseating the hard d rive connections.

It would appear that the hard drive has failed, based on what you have posted.

I have check the BIOS, 1,3 been enabled, and Hard Disk been connected in SATA-1,

system model number: [ADMIN NOTE: Service Tag removed per privacy policy]

OS:WIN7
