How do I upgrade from windows Vista to Windows 7
Hi I bought a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop in 2008 and it runs on the Vista operating system. When I purchased the laptop from pc world they said that it comes with a free upgrade to Windows 7 but have never had the need to update yet. Can I upgrade and if so how do I do it??

The free Windows Vista to Windows 7 upgrade expired in January 2010, so Dell cannot send you the Windows 7 Upgrade DVD.
However if the system is updated to the latest BIOS revision it will activate with a Dell Windows 7 Reinstallation DVD.
