How to obtain the Dell Inspiron 1100 Recovery CD?
Anybody know how to obtain the Dell Notebook Inspiron 1100 System Recovery CD?

buy my system Warranties day end already, can i obtain the CD?

You should have received a reinstallation CD for Windows XP Home, shown here. If you did not, call Tech Support and ask for one. The Resource CD which contains drivers is no longer routinely shipped with Inspirons and Dimensions. Those drivers can be obtained from the Downloads link in the drop-down menu under Product Support above this forum.
If you are looking for a recovery CD which can restore the system to "as shipped" condition as Compaq and HP provide, Dell has never made such a CD. If your system was made after July 15, 2004, you can restore it using the procedure here.

I had the windowxp cd(come with my new dell Desktop Dimension 4700, is same as the Notebook window xp cd ?),
but i want to obtain the system Recovery CD "as shipped"

For US customers there is an online request form for Reinstallation Media. For those customers not in the US you will need to contact Dell technical support and ask for one. The customer numbers are available here.
