Internet Explorer 7

Windows Update wants to install IE 7.  Most of the messages in this forum were with regards to the Beta version.

As with many new Windows products, there always seems to be problems, so I thought I would ask if anyone here is using IE7 and how it's going?

Thanks.

No problems here with IE7 since it was first released. It really is a more secure browser than IE6.

I have not had any problems with IE7.0.

No problems here either. All should go smoothly as long as it is installed on a clean computer.
There are some tips here, but probably more than you want to know or will need:

(It says Vista, but I used some of the same before installing IE7 on XP.)

Yes I prefer 7 for various reasons (some sites didn't work), it didn't let me uninstall the beta version of 8 when I had service pack 3 so had to do a system restore before installing service pack 3 computer went incredibily slow after it so had to do a clean reinstall, therefore I don't recommend ie8 at the moment.

Internet explorer 7 is great though, never had any problems with its beta either.

Has anyone tried the IE8.0 Beta version?

Some older software was/is not compatible with IE7, MusicMatch Jukebox 7.5 for example, but it's not very common.

IE7 is a critical update to the Windows operating system.

It includes numerous security fixes and several, very good features that I could not do without.

Unless you have a particular reason for keeping IE6, you should immediately update to IE7 without doubt.
