Is studio 1535 is eligible for upgrade to windows 7?
Hi All,
I have purchase studio 1535 laptop on 16 Sep 2008 from dell retail store Care office equipment pvt. ltd., S. G. highway, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. While the purchase the retailer assure me that it is eligible for windows 7 upgrade. When I have tried to double check the eligibility on internet using following Url https://win7.dell.com/ but I am unable to find the Studio 1535 in Product Model. I have also tried to find the studio 1535 at https://win7.dell.com/Eligibility.aspx, but it's not there.
Please help me to confirm that the studio 1535 is eligible for windows 7 upgrade or not.

It is not a current model, so no - it does not qualify for the free upgrade. Only systems still shipping as of 10/23 qualify. The 1535 was replaced some time ago.

Hi ,
Since I have purchased the laptop on 09/16, Also I am having the bill of same date and the manager of Care Office Equipment, S G Highway, Ahmedabad. Mr. Rupesh assured me that it is eligible for the windows 7 upgrade. I got delivery on 09/16 than why it is not qualify for the upgrade.
If the retailer has cheated me than would you please suggest me what action I should take to get my due. Is it possible to take any legal action?
Can the Dell India help me on this? Please help, It would be highly appreciated.
