Live Mail 2011 upgrade & expanding newsgroups?
I allowed Live Mail to do an update to Live Mail 2011 and now I'm having a problem with newsgroups. I can no longer expand/collapse threads in my newsgroups. If I go to View, the button is there, but it is grayed out and won't let me change settings. So right now I'm stuck viewing every post and reply as a separate entry.
I posted this to the Live Mail forum at Microsoft but got no answer so I thought I'd try here.
Anyone got an idea?

Live Mail 2011 is part of Windows Live Essentials 2011. Maybe you will have to also download some other Live Essentials application?
You should also be able to fall back to the older version.

Newsgroups are being phased out and replaced by forums. Read This Article and do a search for MS Newsgroups for more info.

I don't use mucrosoft newsgroups. I use Live Mail to access Usenet groups.

I would not recommend a Windows Repair Install. I tried it and it ended up making my ZIP drive unusable. I have lost the back up data and it now has to be reformatted.
It is a shame these facilities cannot be better documented - but may the reason why not, is they don't work.
