Microsoft Office icons on Vista

Howdy,

I was wondering how I could change the icon that a .doc document has? It kind of changed by itself while I stopped using MS Office and turned to OpenOffice. But a few days ago I went back to MS Office again. And everytime I make a new .doc document (not .docx), a completely new icon is used.

Here's what it looked like: http://www.mistric.net/icon2.jpg

And here's what it looks like now: http://www.mistric.net/icon1.jpg

Keep in mind that the first picture is a .docx file, but it doesn't matter because .doc still used to look like that before.

Any ideas on what I could do?

Yes, I saw that after I posted, and corrected it. :emotion-4:

You may have to rebuild the icon cache. Since this is Vista, read this.

Thanks for the link by the way. Just tested it, but didn't quite work how I expected. So I'm gonna do it again, but reboot my computer instead.
