Missing Driver Question

First of all I need to apologize for my English if I am not enough to tell my condition; but I will try to do my best.

My HDD broke down and I got a new HDD. My friend helped me to install Windows 7 and my computer's drivers, but I think we missed one driver.

I could not find driver that I want because I do not know its name.

For example if you push 'Caps Lock' button in the screen there is a image pops up says that whether Caps Lock is open or not. Likewise for example if I use 'Volume Up' or 'Volume Down' buttons on keyboard also there is a image pops up for informing you about volume's state.

After new HDD and installing essential drivers I could not find one driver that I told.

I hope my English was enough to tell my condition and I am waiting for help to find that driver.

Thank you.

Hi Speciall,

You will need to download and install the Quickset application to obtain the On Screen Display. You can download the application from the following link by punching in the Service Tag and by selecting Windows 7:

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi Speciall,

Thank you for your reply. Please let me know the system model number (E.g. Inspiron 15R SE) and the version of Windows 7 (E.g. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit), so that I can check the details and provide the direct download link for Quickset.

Thank you for your all effort.

I tried to install it like the other drivers but it says 'This is not supported system.' (Sorry it says in Turkish but I translated in English. I hope I did well)

I gave correct information about my computer and Windows. I do not know what to do it.

Strange there is no Dell Quickset Application listed for the Inspiron N4030 on the Dell FTP Website.

There is however some listed under historical applications, try:

Thank you for your effort too.

It is really strange because with this driver I also got the same error which is  'This is not supported system.'

I am very desperate.

I am not sure why these are listed as historical drivers for this system if it is unsupported.

There is no non-historical driver version asked.

Previously I requested a Universal Dell Quickset installer to overcome such issues. I have asked one of my Dell contacts about the proper version of Dell Quickset for this model, it must have initially had Quickset preinstalled if the onscreen displays for the function keys once worked.

Before changing HDD it was working well, but now I am really desperate. I do not know what should I do.

If you can extract anything from the old hard drive have a look in the C:/Drivers or C:/Dell/Drivers folder it will tell you what the original drivers that were installed and hopefully there will be a Dell Quickset version there.

Hi Speciall,

Thank you for your reply and for providing an update on the status. I suggest you to reinstall the drivers in the order provided in the link below:
http://dell.to/X1IKGu

The information provided in the link is generic and all the drivers listed may not be applicable to the system. Install the drivers that are available in the correct order.

Please let me know about your findings.
