New 530 Inspiron problem(s)
I've been dealing with a difficult issue. Dell support has been slow. There is not much on the internet. I received my new desktop on 6/5/09. As soon as I started it up I got a pop-up error message: RMCPLG.EXE - APPLICATION ERROR (0xc0150004) The application failed to initialize properly - I have found something similar to this where someone was working with AVG software. My problem is spread out.and does not include AVG
I receive the same error when trying to get the following software to start
Genie Homebackup 8.0, Corel Paint shop Pro X2, and 1 application (Groove) within MS Office Enterprise 2007 (see example below)
GBM8.exe |
8.0.354.524 |

ntdll.dll |
6.0.6001.18000 |
4791a7a6 |
c0150004 |
00009cac |
cb4 |
01c9eee487e367fb |
I do not have any problems installing and running applications like Registry Mechanic, Process Explorer, Norton Anti-virus 2009, Glary Utilities, MS Office 2007 (exception noted above), Corel Photo Album 6.0, Corel Painter Eseentials, and so on.
I am unable to complete the command 'SFC /SCANNOW'. It always ends at 87% and stops. Ive embedded the message below.

I have been back and forth with DELL support without any answers or directions. There seems to be something that conflicts, but no idea where to begin here

* Make sure you are connected to the Internet
* Launch Windows Explorer or My Computer
* Navigate to C:\program files\Dell Datasafe local backup\components\dsupdate\dsupdate.exe
* Double-click dsupdate.exe to manually update Dell DataSafe Local to the corrected version
* When finished, restart the PC
* Try to load the other software

Thank you for your response - this did not work though. The problem persists.

I am wondering why a brand new 530 Inspiron would have a problem with the SFC built-in command?
As I previously posted, I am unable to complete the SFC /scannow command. Does anybody know why or how this could happen? This machine was delivered on 6/5/09 and I've had problems since the beginning.
This is hardly a dependable way to deliver a product to a customer. Am I the only one within the community here?
