OS activation
Good day Sir.
i have, somewhat, the same problem, however, i successfully restore my OS. But the problem is, after i restored my OS, window pop-up appeared asking for windows activation key. I cant find any activation key sticker on my M14 laptop. Is there any procedure to retrieve my activation key?

You connect to the internet and activate your windows.
Simple as that.

The product key is probably under the battery on your laptop.

For Windows Vista/7 use the Activation Backup and Recovery Program to restore the Dell OEM BIOS system locked preinstallation activation mechanism:
