Problems with XP Pro 64 Bit and installing my software

When I try to install my software on my new Dell PC with XP Pro 64 bit the software thinks it needs to be higher than Windows 2000 or higher???  What the heck?  Should I send this back and get a 32 bit system?  Or is there a way to put my software on?

Hi

If you or installing from a CD close out the installer , then go to the CD drive and look for the setup.exe

Right click on it and select properties then select Compatible mode put a check in the box then select ,

Run in XP SP 2 compatible mode .

See if this works .

If the software has to install a {32 bit driver} it will not work for a 64 bit OS there is no way around that !!

It would help if you post the software names you or trying to install .

Good Luck
