Re-installing XP Home but CD that came with PC is XP Professional

Hi

I have been using XP home that came with my Dell Dimension PC.  However, I now want to wipe the hard drive and reinstall, but the CD from Dell that came with my PC has XP professional and my CD key is for XP home.  I am not sure if the CD is supposed to be used for both but I don't want to wipe the hard drive and then not be able to use my PC as I don't have an XP Professional Key.  Some of the "Readme" Files mention both "Home edition" and "Professional edition", so I am not sure if this same CD contains the files to install both, but it always defaults to installing XP professional.  

Have i simply been sent the wrong CD?
