Setting preferences on opening SanDisk

I recently installed PhotoShop Elements on my Dimension 4500. Now when I plug in a SanDisk, PhotoShop jumps automatically opens it. I want the dialog box that allows me to select the application for opening it. I have been told that I need to reset preferences, but I cannot find out where to do this in either PhotoShop or in Windows XP.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

First of all. put a sandisk in.

Let photoshop try to open it.

then open "my computer"

right click on the scandisk, then click properties.

there should be a tab with "autoplay"

click it. then at the bottom click the blip that says "prompt me each time to choose an action" click apply and ok.

OR

there should be a thing that says : "Opens with" then a program, then a button that says "change" and select the program you want to open the sandisk with. click ok.

Done.
