Setuppreg.hiv Could Not Be Loaded Error Message

When using the six (6) floppy windows Setup disks to install Windows XP on my computer, I get the following error message during the installation of files on the third diskette:

File setuppreg.hiv could not be loaded.  Error code is 4108.

The setup program is Windows XP Home, Service Pack 2.

My computer originally had 1,024.00 MB of ram, but I'm attempting the install with only one stick of memory since I suspect one bad stick.

I tested both with Microsoft's Memory Tester utility (...believe that is the correct name) and they both past the test.

The Sea gate HDD was tested, and passed, with the Sea Tools utility downloaded from their site.

Following are my computer's specs:

System Manufacturer    Dell Inc.
System Model    Dell DXP051
System Type    X86-based PC
Processor    x86 Family 15 Model 4 Stepping 7 GenuineIntel ~2793 Mhz
BIOS Version/Date    Dell Inc. A05, 5/30/2006
SMBIOS Version    2.3

Please advise what this message means and how to finish the installation.

reggierj,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Reseat the memory modules and make sure they are seated all the way into the slot.
