A rookie question here- running Vista on Dell 519 Desktop.  Have just downloaded and installed several updates from both this site and Microsoft.  Once they are installed, do I have to keep them as files in a folder, or can I delete the files without affecting the installation?  (Please don't laugh too hard, everyone was a rookie at some point):emotion-7:

You can delete any drivers on the Windows Vista desktop, document or downloads.

Dell drivers will have extracted to C:\Dell\Drivers (which can also be deleted but I recommend leaving it as it does no harm).

Deleting the installer will not uninstall the drivers.
