Start Up Configuration

Hi,

I have an XPS 720 With Vista Home Premium. One of the main uses my computers have, is running MS Flight Simulator, which is a hungry monster in terms of system resources.

So i wanted to create an user profile just to play the SIM. I want this profile to start just running the most basic systems, and toleave a clean base system in order to leave the Sim with most of the resources.

How do I configure which programs and services start with Windows Vista?
Which are the Basic program/services which should be kept running?
Do you have any other suggestion so as to achieve my goal?

Thanks in advance.
Rgds,
Henry

Re: Start Up Configuration

to turn off all the stuff to only run the flight simulator. Click Start type msconfig in the search hit enter click continue then go to the startup tab hit disable all. go to services put a check in hide all microsoft services then hit disable all MAKE SURE THE CHECK IS IN HIDE ALL MICROSOFT SERVICES!!! reboot and everything is turned off. I would not go onto the Internet or anything because you will have no protection
