USB storage devices code 10 - Device Will not start
I have not used my USB drives for a while. When I went to plug it into the computer Windows will not recognize the drive. I know that these devices use generic Windows mass storage drivers. To make sure the devices still work I plugged them into another computer and they work fine without any issues.
When I contacted a Dell Tech he had me update all the drivers and the BIOS. This fixed some of my issues. My digital camera now works but my Lacie USB drive and my USB thumb drive still do not work.
How do I fix these issues?

I finally found how to fix this issue.
The easiest way to solve a USB error code 10 in Windows XP is to follow the steps below to remove and reinstall all USB controllers.
A. Click on Start
B. Right Click on My Computer, click on Properties
C.Click on the Hardware tab
D. Click the Device Manager button.
E. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers section.
F. Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
G. Restart the computer, and allow the computer to reinstall the USB controllers.
