Uniblue Registry Booster

I received an email from Pc World promoting this software and am wondering if it is something that really needs to be used. I have also seen products from Pitstop that clean out the registry as well.

Since I am not very technical, I question whather I should even consider doing any monkeying around in the registry. I know that If I screw it up, I am dead, dead, dead.

Will these things work yet keep me out of trouble? I am looking for beter performance from my computer.
