Update fails with system administrator prevention message on Vista PC
When I attempt to update QuickTime on my Vista OS PC with the 7.60.92.0 installer, the following message is displayed: "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" How can I get around this?

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Log on as the Administrator and then try installing the software.

Logging is as the administrator is not an option on my Vista PC, at least not obviously so. In complete frustration, and with intent to change the permissions in the Properties for the exe file, I discovered that I could right-click the file and select "Install as administrator". This worked fine.
Thanks, once again, to Apple and Microsoft for not introducing unnecessary hurdles (<-sarcasm)
