Windows 7

I have acquired a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium.

I currently run Windows Vista Home Premium.

Can I replace Vista with Windows 7 ?, if so what is the way to proceed.

thehobbitt,

Thank you for contacting the Dell Community Forum.  Yes, you can replace Vista with Windows 7.  There are two ways to go about this.  You can upgrade your existing installation of Windows Vista to Windows 7 by inserting the Win7 DVD, selecting upgrade when prompted, and following the steps to complete the installation.  Or, if you prefer to start fresh, you can boot to the Windows 7 DVD and run a clean install of that operating system.

Also, please post any future questions about Windows 7 in the Microsoft OS forum.  That should ensure a quicker response to your posts.
