XP Pro - Error when installing windows - Cyclic redundancy check.

I bought windows XP Pro directly from dell. When installing XP Pro to my Inspiron 1501 I received a cyclic redundancy check error and its asking me to verify the disk is not scratched or corrupt. After verifying that the disk was bad I called dell technical support to see if they could send me another disk but they just put me in a loop wasting countless hours on the phone directing me to wrong after wrong department. After wasting 21 days with dell support they finally told me that it’s past the 21 day period and will not support or refund the windows product. I am stuck at this point and don’t know what to do. Any solutions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mike

I'd suggest contacting our Unresolved Issues team about that.  If you wanted to return it you'll want customer care.  If you just want the disk replaced you'll want technical support.
