installed windows 7, now missing unknown drivers

just installed windows 7 on my xps m1530.  everything is fine except for missing unknown drivers. in device manager, under "other devices," i have two "base system devices" which have no information to let me know which drivers to download. The location of the 1st base system device is PCI bus 3, device 9, function 2.  the location for the 2nd base system device is PCI bus 3, device 9, function 3.

the 1st base system device, under "hardware Ids" in its properties tab, the value is

PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&SUBSYS_022E1028&REV_12
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&SUBSYS_022E1028
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&CC_0880

the 2nd of the two  "base system devices" has a hardware Id of this:

PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&SUBSYS_022E1028&REV_12
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&SUBSYS_022E1028
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&CC_0880

if anyone can figure out which drivers i need to install for these unknown base system devices please help me out.

thanks

download and install THIS driver. The file may list Vista but it will work on 7.  Do not use the Dell download manger. Make sure you select the option to use the web browser to download the file

 Hi,

Can someone please help me? I own a Dell Vostro V131 laptop and recently, i did a clean installation of Windows 7. I managed to install ALL the drivers with the exception of ONE - the Wireless Internet Connection driver.

Here is the screenshot below.

Can someone please advise where and how to get this driver and=, how I can get the my laptop to connect to the internet without needing an Ethernet Cable?

Many thanks

Please provide the Hardware IDs as in the case above, see my wiki Windows Reinstallation Guide:

I'd love to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7, but when trying to do so, I get an error message about the Optiarc DVD+- RW AD-7640a device drivers not being compatible.  Anyone else have issues with the original DVD not working with windows 7 install?  Do I just need to use an external DVD drive to complete the install?

The optical drive will be compatible with Windows 7. The driver for optical drives is inbuilt to Windows and anything that works on Vista will work on 7.

You may install via USB however but the DVD drive will work fine especially if booted from BIOS:

What model of Dell do you have?
