oem win 7 software
Hi my stepsons xps 502 laptop is 10 months old but he has needed to have the hard drive formatted . It did not come with any disks and no recovery disks were created.
How can we re-install the oem software ? we still have the key on the bottom of the laptop ... to get it running on a temp nature he has installed unbuntu but does not like it.

If the hard drive was not replaced, it's possible to Restoring Your Computer´s Software to the Factory Settings
If you live in the United States, Request Backup Disks USA if in another Country, contact Dell tech Support in your Country.

Alternatively as you have the product key use retail media and phone activation.
