OK, I have a XPS 420 and I think the GPU driver has messed up a bit as I get freezing everytime I play games. I'm now trying to do a factory restore using the image that comes pre-loaded on the system. However, my problem is that when I restart the computer and choose the "Repair Your Computer" option it just boots straight into Vista. I've tried this mutiple times, but have had no such luck.
I've used this mutiple times before and its worked fine, so anyone know why this may be?
Thanks in advance,
I have a Vostro 1510 (bought in April 09) I'm having the same problem. After I hit Repair Computer the laptop just boots straight into Vista. I checked the drive and the recovery partition is still there but I can't get it to even go into the repair screen.
I have tried the repair on 3 different Dell PC's and never got it to work. I have better, but still very mixed, luck with restoring to a previous restore point.
