Hello chaps. This is my first post to this forum and I'm hoping to become a regular contributor, and maybe we can have this community take off and prosper.

Which brings me to my question:

I currently rename the machines to the username of the user who uses it most (since it's at their desk) which makes it easier to administer it via WDM when they give me a call.

Currently when you reimage a device via automatic update located on the central server, the device renames itself to its original name (its MAC address).

This makes it very difficult to find the specific computer after an update, which is usually the time when you want to administer the device the most.

So my friends, is there a way to prevent the device from resetting its name after being reimaged?
