T50 USB redirection issues with VMWare View 5.1
We have been getting USB redirection from day one. The issue is that when a user has logged off for the day and logs on later, or the next day and receives a new virtual desktop thru the T50 client, the USB devices connected to the T50 are not connected to the virtual desktop. The user has to disconnect the usb cable and reconnect it in order for the USB device to be recognized. The mouse and keyboard are never a problem, it's the other devices, as in scanners, credit card readers and so on. This issue has put our deployment project on hold. We have 30 T50's and only have 4 of them deployed while trying to nail down a resolution to the issue.
Has anyone else had this problem and been able to come up with a fix?

Examine the log on the guest for entries of class wssm_usb, and the log on the client for entries of class wswc_usb. Entries with these classes are written to the logs if a user is not an administrator, or if the USB redirection drivers are not installed or are not working.
