Wyse 3040 ThinLinux unable to install Chrome/addons from FTP

I have been experiencing issues trying to install Chrome add-on to our wyse 3040 device. I have setup a Ftp server and created INI file but I can't get the thinclient to download files off the FTP server. When I go to Management, Logs and Tools, wlx.ini file is there and I'm able to see several config lines which means thinclient is talking to FTP server. When I click on install add-ons I get "No add-ons available on Update Server"

I have created folder structure on FTP as follows: /wyse/, addons, wlx, wlx2

I was trying to downgrade OS thinking it could be an issue with this OS build but keep getting "error while validating security key. (error code:233)"

I called Dell support and opened a service request - someone has yet to call back.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated - thank you!

brief info of my environment:

ini:

Fileserver=10.1.3.1
Rootpath=wyse
IniFileSource=server
DelayedUpdate.AllowDowngrade=yes
DelayedUpdate.Enabled=yes
DelayedUpdate.Mode=both
;DelayedUpdate.URL=/wyse/
PowerButtonAction=shutdown

Build 2.0.19.31428

Os version 4.13.0-1013-oem

bios version 1.2.4

I ran into the same issue.  I found out Chrome is already  installed on your client.  It should be installed at /opt/google/chrome/chrome
