Colour Depth and Resolution

Colour Depth and Resolution

Hi All,

had a bit of a search but couldnt find a answer. Just trying the lite version to see if its the right one to get for me or not. I found if I connect to a 2003 server the colour depth looks like its set to 256 colours where as if I connect to a 2008 machine it shows in 16 bit.

Is there any way to change colour depth on the 2003 machine? as some dialog boxes are very hard to read in 256 colour.

I have a HTC Desire HD and connecting via wifi (cable internet) or 3G I get the same result.

Thanks
K

1) Right Click on a blank area of the Desktop
2) Select 'Properties'
3) Select 'Settings'

The color depth is displayed under "Colors"

The color depth for 2003 and 2008 is 16 bit. The paid version allows you to modify the resolution (not color depth) on RDP connections

when connecting to a 2003 server it seems the color is set to 256 is there any way I can confirm this? when I connect from my PC it does connect at 16bit but via pocketcloud the color is defiantly lower then 16bit and its difficult to see some dialog boxes because of the color.

Thanks
K
