Drop Down Menus don't display on my device.
Drop Down Menus don't display on my device.
So here I am trying to run the VNC portion on my Android ICS Tablet, but when I go to pull menus up on my tablet; they dont show on the tablet. Only on the Desktop. Can anybody tell me why this might be happening? Everything else seems to run smoothly...
Attached are screen shots taken at the same time from each device.
1- PocketCloud Version 1.2.182
2- Asus eee Transformer Prime, TF201
3- What are the exact error messages (if any) that you are getting:
a- No ERROR messages, but the drop down menus do not show up
b- No error messages see screen shots
4- YES installed on desktop
5- v.2.3.9
6- Using WiFi for both the mobile unit & desktop

Is this only happening in that specific application for you?
I attempted to reproduce the issue by installing the RMeasiteach software and the menu's are working for me. Can you try power cycling your device and computer to see if that helps?

Same results here, installed software could see all menus. Using both free and pro version. But using samsung galexy 10.1 tablet

Tested again this morning on a Transformer Prime TF201, PocketCloud 1.2.182, Companion v2.3.9, Windows XP Pro connected via VNC, drop down menu's within RMeasiteach worked fine.
What version of Windows XP are you using?

Windows XP Pro, Version 2002 (SP3), VNC...
PocketCloud Version 1.2.182
Descktop v.2.3.9
Seems to only be RM Easiteach that does allow for any pop-up, dropdown menus to show. This is critical because i want to use this like a virtual whiteboard... drop downs in IE, and other programs seems to work now. I have reset both devices multiple times, cleared the caches, etc... TF201 comes w/ splashtop HD built in... it shows these menus just fine.

Problem Solved. I tried on HTC EVO and had the same problems... so I started some trial and error in my VNC... I enabled a few options in my VNC program and voila!
Here is what I now have checked:
- Remove Aero (Vista)
- Capture Alpha-Blending

I am not totally sure since it is working without a issue on the same setup here. I am thinking this is something specific to your setup. Can you try force stopping PocketCloud and also clearing application data?
To do this: Settings > Apps > Manage Applications > PocketCloud. From here Select Force Stop and Clear Data (clearing data will erase any manual connections).

Updated to 2.4.8 with no help. Easiteach even updated last night to 1.3.1+ and i still dont see any of these things in the program.
This blows my mind, not a problem on SplashtopHD... why is it on this one?

Can you update to the latest version of the Companion software to see if it helps? The latest version is 2.4.8 and is available here:
