OS X Lion

OS X Lion

Just upgraded our macs to lion and finding we can't connect now with pocket cloud on our iPads. Screen loads up to the lion login screen but keyboard doesn't seem to work to allow us to log in.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Andrew, can you please logout of your mac. Login now using your ipad.
Thanks!

Still can't get it to work. I noticed iteleport updated their iPad app to include authentication to bypass the lion log in screen and it works, but I would rather use pocket cloud. Will the app he updated or is their a way around this?

It works, but once you disconnect you can't log back in.
Does this mean once connected via iPad to the mac, you need to log out the mac when finished vnc? Never had to do that before, was simply connect, disconnect when needed.

When I try to reinstall the PocketCloud Helper, in my Wyse PocketCloud VNC Setup window my VNC connectivity test fails. The fail also shows in the Console program.

VNC Connectivity resolved

I was able to resolve my VNC connectivity issue. I am now at the point where the other posters are.

The reason I decided to test my PocketCloud connection was because I was getting the following message in my Lion Console log:

7/23/11 3:32:54.652 AM PocketCloudService: socket(PF_ROUTE) failed: Too many open files
7/23/11 3:33:07.653 AM PocketCloudService: socket(PF_ROUTE) failed: Too many open files
7/23/11 3:33:20.656 AM PocketCloudService: socket(PF_ROUTE) failed: Too many open files
7/23/11 3:33:33.658 AM PocketCloudService: socket(PF_ROUTE) failed: Too many open files
7/23/11 3:33:46.660 AM PocketCloudService: socket(PF_ROUTE) failed: Too many open files

It seems to start appearing after some period of time , maybe if there is no connection. It does not seem to be causing an issue except to fill up the error log. Let me know if there are any further troubleshooting steps I can take.

I am also unable to connect since downloading Lion X. During the setup under System Preferences I was unable to select "Screen Sharing". I get the following message: Screen sharing is currently being controlled by the Remote Management Service.

I am also receiving the message: VNC to port 5900 failed.

Try unchecking Remote Management. You may need to restart the system with the settings off, maybe not. Maybe just restart the System Preferences. I think the idea is to just turn off VNC. Go back into Sharing and either turn Screen Sharing on or turn Remote Management back on. I think that is all I had to do to address the VNC port issue.
