Unable to log into Gmail using Wyse PocketCloud Auto Discovery

Unable to log into Gmail using Wyse PocketCloud Auto Discovery

I get a Login Failed message on my laptop

. Wyse PocketCloud Auto Discovery
. Using XP
. Laptop connects to the network via WiFi (Apple Airport Xtreme)
. My gmail address has a period in it (i.e., xxx.yyy@gmail.com)
. RDP to port 3389 is successful
. VNC to port 5900 failed

Thanks in advance for your help!

Unfortunately PocketCloud will not currently work with proxy servers. So you will not able to login if you are behind a firewall that allow only http/https traffic.

Are you behind any proxy server?
Can you able to login from google gtalk application from your laptop?
For debugging, is it possible for you try a gmail id without period?

Thanks for the response. To answer your questions:

1. I've installed Wyse PocketCloud Windows Companion 2.1.1 ("paired" to PocketCloud 2.0.7)
2. I'm using an English keyboard

You need to allow outgoing connection to port 5222 in your firewall.

Companion needs to make an outgoing connection to port 5222.

Was there a solution for this issue becauase i am having the same problem. I installed the most current version of the companion but whenever i try to login i get the message "login failed" The machine i have it installed on is sitting behind a firewall that only allows port 80/443. I am able to log into gmail from a browser without a problem.

Thanks

1. What is the windows comapanion version used?
2. What language keyboard are you using? We have tested gmail's with period and it works fine on an english keyboard.

Is there a solution to this problem yet? It started occurring with the latest revision to the Pocket Companion for Windows.
the problem exists on our internal network (behind the firewall, no proxies).
