Can a wyse box be used to connect to a external VNC server (ip : port) with a password or make a Windows RDP connection?

This all depends on the Model you pick, as most thin clients include a VNC server and are designed to connect to Citrix, (ICA), Microsoft (RDP) or VMware (RDP/PCoIP). VNC is normally used to connect the management consoles to the thin clients. I believe that the new WES7 include a VNC client, but don't quote me on that. In any case, if you need to use VNC client, your best bet would be on the WES7 or WES8 clients, as you can install any of the VNC clients available.
