Removing Wyse configuration manager client and replacing with ConfigMgr 2012 client

I have taken over a network where they have deployed Wyse terminals using an image that has the Wyse System Center 2007 client installed. However, WDM was never deployed to managed those clients.

I have setup ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 (CU3) CAS and DP and have successfully pushed out the 2012 client to desktops. Unfortunately, I can't seem to either get the 2007 terminals to register with this MP, or deploy the 2012 client to the terminal clients.

Does anyone have any advice about how to do this? - Or should I get each terminal (in the hundreds) re-imaged?

I've thought of a very cumbersome way of doing this. But I thought I'd ask if anyone has had any practical experience of this.
