What was your upgrade path? 9.x to 9.x, or 8.x to 9.x?

Have you tried a factory reset on the device?

If this is more than one-off and happens regularly on your devices when upgrading please get a support case open so diagnosis can be provided to engineering.

Hi Johnny,

Make sure the Cert is pushed to login to the VDI.

1. Try the 9.1 merlin image and flash one device.
2. Try importing the cert using the Thumb drive.

If this is related to SCEP issue to join to the network. then there is a bug now.. please wait for the release expected 2nd week October.

Same issue here with 5470 and upgrading from 9.1.1131 to 9.1.4234.

See error part of log below:

Hi,
I was facing the similar issue. Resolved this by upgrading the firmware to 9.1.3129 first.

Hi,

For my part the firmware to 9.1.3129 gives me the same error, currently I am in version 9.1.3112.

Failed: verify certs failed: unable to get local issuer certificate

The only solution that works for me is by using a USB key with OS_Merlin_9.1.4234_3040

I found initially that:

In order to update to 9.1.4234 ThinOS.

Device needs to be updated to 9.1.3112 / 1.10.2 / 21.4

Device then needs to be updated to 21.6.28.2

Device then needs to be updated to 9.1.3129

Device can then be updated to 9.1.4234

You can then install BIOS 1.12.0

Then you can install CWA 21.6.28.10

However I am seeing some devices not want to update from 9.1.3129 to 9.1.4234 with error:

N/WDAProc/WMS (1/1) Failed to install packages. error: ["wms: failed to install Root version: 9.1.4234, error: failed to verify package"]

Had some devices using same method (device level config) go fine.

This is a known issue for 5070's shipped with 9.1.2101. Open a support case and ask for CAupdate_1.0.1.pkg,  You will have to add it to your application package list. Once that's installed the other items will update successfully.

You could also use the 9.1.6108 Merlin image if you want to reimage using the USB firmware tool.
